Well it seems the rumors are true and Jessica Simpson is in fact Pregnant. The rumors of her pregnancy really went to a new level when word got out that that she was postponing her wedding. Then pictures came out that somewhat hinting at it. Now the rumor surrounding the announcement has been that she has kept quiet while hunting for a company or publication willing to pay her for the announcement, and it seems that OK Magazine has now coughed up the dough for the official announcement and perhaps the first pics of the baby. Some reports are also claiming that Jessica is still planning to get married before the baby is born. Jessica is religious, but I just don’t know if her wedding is something that she would sacrifice as she has been so obsessed with getting married for so many years now.
: I truly hope this is true and really THANK GOD if it is b/c if it’s not she needs to hit the gym PRONTO, no for real if she’s not pregnant that’s a legit issue b/c she seriously looks like she is growing another human life in her belly.

LOVE THIS! I wish I was one of those girls who could wear braids, well lets be honest, I wish I was one of those girls who knew how to even attempt these kinds of braids. It’s true, I only know the normal, ho-hum braid, and those just aren’t overly adorable, these though… maybe one day I will get the patience to learn…

So Nicole Richie cut bangs again, I love them, I plan on cutting similar ones again in a few weeks. I am not the biggest fan of the length, I like her with longer hair, but it’s not a horrible cut, w/ having 2 kids I am sure it’s easier to manage. Everyone is using the pics of her in the mustard yellow dress at the Environmental Media Awards as proof to her having had a boob job, I just don’t know I mean they are bigger but I am thinking they are just a good bra bigger. I have a hard time thinking that she got her breasts done. I don’t know why but I do.
: Girls very few women can wear mustard, so don’t go out there and fill your closet with it, it’s probs not going to work with your skin tone and hair color, the exceptions are black girls for the most part, white girls with NO pink undertones, and those with olive skin.

Wowza. It seems those rumors about the red sox pitchers ordering fried chicken and drinking beers and playing video games in the club house while not pitching rather then sitting in the bull pen on the bench like every other team are TRUE. Are you freakin’ kidding me? Your getting paid like 15 million dollars to be pitch ready and sit on the bench just in case your going to get called in and you don’t even care enough to say sober while sitting your lazy ass on the benches? Seriously? While speaking via telephone to the Boston Globe John Lester said “I know how it looks to people and it probably looks bad. But we weren’t up there just drinking and eating and nobody played video games. We watched the game.” Oh, haha, ok my bad, I mean if you were also watching the game… what a joke.
The interview with the Boston Globe Lester also said “I think you’ll have a lot of guys with chips on their shoulders next season to set things right. There are a lot of good people in that clubhouse and they’ll show that.” Well I guess we will have to wait and see, the talent was there this year and they sucked, not sure how a chip on their shoulders is going to make that big of a difference but I suppose we shall see, as a Met’s fan, I don’t really care.

Ok, so this handshake thing has gotten pretty out of control.Yes, I’m a giants fan but,the Lions are my 2nd team (I’m a Nebraska fan and thus Suh is like a God), and thus I watch their games, and pay attention to their headlines, I also have a couple Detroit players on my fantasy team.
Anyway, so it’s not a surprise to me that this handshake situation has gotten the press it has b/c the Fox commentators commented on it immediately saying “Harbaugh is going to hear from the NFL about this on Monday” and thus everyone had to report on it pronto. Hear is the thing, this situation had been a long time coming. Schwartz is friends with Harbaugh’s brother Jon who coaches for the Ravens, when Jim Harbaugh was trying to decide about taking the 49’ers job he went to dinner with Jon and Schwartz and Schwartz basically told him that if the lockout went through the summer there is no way he would have the time, basically 2 weeks, to be able to get his team and coaching style, everything, together. I guess Jim Harbaugh took offense to what I find, as a sports fan from Nebraska, to be a pretty obvious statement. I guess that Jim Harbaugh was also pissed b/c when he threw the red flag in the first quarter to challenge a touchdown, (a play which he can not challenge as it’s already being reviewed), it cost his team 15 yards, and somehow he caught wind that Schwartz’s reaction to the incident was the comment, “know the rules.” It may be snarky, but in truth, Schwartz has a point, know the F’ing rules! The penalty didn’t end up costing the 49’ers they scored on the next series anyway, even with the penalty. I mean it’s absurd that Jim Harbaugh wouldn’t know a basic rule like this, perhaps Jim Schwartz was right and if he had had more time, he would have pulled together the rules, and not just his defense.
Anyway, whether there was bad blood between them or not, at the end of the game you shake your opponents hand, if you win you walk across to the losers side and their hand and walk away, you don’t shake their hand obnoxiously, you don’t slap or bush their back, and you don’t curse at them. That pathetic and immature no matter what issues they had previously. I also get why Schwartz went after Harbaugh, they had just lost so emotions were running high, and then this happens, I mean come on dude. Plus Detroit has a for us or against us mentality at this point after being put down for years in the media. Everyone has their breaking point, their buttons that can be pushed, and while I don’t condone Schwartz acting like that I also don’t think that Jim Harbaugh’s actions were slightly ok, and being Schwartz’s actions came from his reaction to Harbaugh I think the blame is on him. Harbaugh has since apologized, knowing what he did was wrong.
In all honesty, I think that it was probably a plus for the Lions players to have this happen. It took a lot of attention off of their loss, took the pressure off of Stafford who really lost the game for the Lions, and proved to the team once again that Schwartz is in this for the long haul. That being said, lets all just move on to week 7 and the insane trades.

I ADORE Pelini, and I think he has been fantastic for Nebraska football and is really someone that I enjoy watching on the sidelines due to his passion. I also enjoy watching him basically be a douche to the media, I just get a kick out of it. He’s very similar to Belichick and Schwartz in that way that he just doesn’t give much information out. My concern with Pelini since last season is why he’s so gun-ho on Taylor Martinez as the QB. I think he sucks, he’s up and down, he’s a very selfish player and if he can run it he does even if there is a man open for a larger gain, I also don’t think he’s overly skilled with his pass, if it’s within 30 yards sure he’s ok, but anything longer his percentage declines to a scary level. I don’t believe that he has the skills to thread the needle, ever. Now, I could be wrong, it’s rare, but it does happen, but I just don’t think I’m wrong here. I worry that Pelini is attaching his star to Martinez and I don’t think that’s smart. Nebraska fans are very polite and will give ppl a second, maybe even a third try, but they are also educated on football (perhaps not much else but that’s an entirely different blog). Fans here are growing impatient with Pelini and Martinez and he can ask anyone, when that tide turns, you best pack up and get outta here b/c it’s not pretty. I worry that Pelini may soon head down that road and I really love him so I hope that’s not the case.
Now back to the quote.

I think Bo is wrong. I think he’s wrong b/c whether or not the NFL wants to admit it, college football is somewhat the NFL’s farm system. If these players don’t get use to the boo’s now when will they? One could argue that Henry (the new kicker for the Philadelphia Eagles) is buckling perhaps under the pressure and the boo’s. In Nebraska we went early to watch him warm up, he was our most reliable player, and if he missed one we realized the hundreds he had made previously and let it go. Fans in Philly don’t let it go, they turn on you so fast, you don’t get a second chance with them. I said when he went there that I didn’t think he’d make it there b/c of the fans and the negative pressure. I was right. Anyway back to Pelini’s quote, bottom line, he’s wrong. Pelini always struck me as a “get over it,” “walk it off,” or “put on your big boy pants and play the damn game” kinda guy, so I am somewhat shocked to hear him say that he doesn’t think his players should be boo’d. If no one boo’s them how does he expect them to react when they get to the NFL? What kind of life skills and coping education is that? Pelini, get over it, as long as your QB of choice sucks and your D doesn’t perform to the standards of Husker Nation you’re going to get boo’s just pray to god those boo’s don’t turn your direction. Husker’s fans don’t believe losing belongs in College Football, and guess what, that’s something we feel strongly about… Just sayin’
